About this game

Tangram brings the classic Chinese dissection puzzle to the browser with twenty four handcrafted silhouettes. Every round deals one outline — a cat, a boat, a swan, a rocket — and the seven wooden pieces: five triangles, one square and one parallelogram. Drag each piece onto the board, tap rotate to turn in forty five degree steps and flip the parallelogram when the shape demands it. Pieces snap with a flash when they near their true spot, and the puzzle is solved the moment all seven lock in. Faster finishes score more, each hint costs twenty points and three are available per round, while the running total spans all twenty four figures.

How to play

Drag the pieces onto the silhouette, use rotate and flip to orient them and fill the outline to clear the shape.

Tips & Tricks

• Fill the biggest triangles first — the two large pieces anchor every silhouette.
• Rotate in forty five degree steps and flip the parallelogram early, it is the only handed piece.
• Watch the outline corners — a concave notch tells you which piece must land there.
• Clear small shapes quickly, the timer slowly drains every puzzle score.
