About this game

Hearts is the classic trick-avoidance card game distilled for the phone. You sit south against three AI opponents with distinct table manners. Every deal starts with a three card pass โ€” rotating left, right, across and then no pass โ€” so the hand you keep is as much about what you give away as what you hold. The two of clubs opens, suits must be followed, and no penalty card may lead until a heart has been bled onto a trick. Every heart you capture costs one point and the queen of spades costs thirteen, and when a deal ends the scores stack until someone crosses one hundred โ€” then the lowest total takes the table. The moon is there for the taking too: capture all twenty six points and everyone else eats them instead. Clean card graphics, a visible score board and crisp deal-by-deal rhythm make it easy to play one hand or ten.

How to play

Tap a card to play it โ€” during the pass phase pick three cards and confirm.

Tips & Tricks

  • Pass your dangerous spades early โ€” the ace and king of spades eat the queen.
  • Count the heart suits โ€” once they are gone the queen becomes a free throw.
  • Short suits are escape hatches โ€” void them to dump penalty cards safely.
  • If your hand cannot win a thing, aim for the moon โ€” twenty six points the other way.

Frequently asked questions

When can I lead hearts in Hearts?

Hearts are broken once any heart has been played on a trick, usually by someone discarding. From then on any player may lead them โ€” until that moment a heart lead is blocked unless you hold nothing else.

How does shooting the moon work?

Capture every heart and the queen of spades in one deal and you score zero while each opponent takes twenty six. It is a high risk reversal best attempted from a hand with long suits and lots of high cards.
